Just wanted to let you all know that I’m working on a 4 page halloween comic for an anthology, and I can’t wait to finish it! I’m also working on some spooky season stickers that I can’t wait to show you either! I haven’t been to dedicated to comic creating as I would like, so I’m really slow with making progress on recent pages, but I’m getting them done or at least trying my best.
I’ve been going through a bit of a slump, so I’m really focusing on things that can distract me and bring me joy at the same time.

I’m currently doing Dead by Daylight and slowly going through ALIEN: Isolation, I do plan on expanding my game list, especially horror, but these are my big two for the moment.

Anyway, I really hope you liked last page and this page, we’re getting some Vampire lore through the means of showing AND telling. In case you don’t recognize it, this memory is 100% that dinner scene that happened at the start of the chapter, if you don’t remember it though, I don’t blame you… it’s been a whole damn year or close to it :’)
Originally I wanted to expand on vampires and make Annie ask all sort of questions, but to make sure the story moved along I decided against it and that we would just simply learn through her since she’s a fresh vampire that’s bound to learn new things!

How has everyone’s Labor Day Weekend been?
I hope it’s been good! Mine was okay! To be honest I completely lost a day, I kept thinking Monday was Tuesday and Tuesday was Wednesday lol I only realized what day it was when I had to throw out the trash.

Ooooh, look at this fancy bathroom! I’ve been slowly building Caleb’s mansion in a 3D program so this bathroom is 100% referenced from the model I’ve been working on, this room Annie entered is a room mainly to wash your hands, look at yourself in the mirror and then there are 2 doors that lead to 2 different rooms which have a bathroom and shower :p I REALLY didn’t want to draw a toilet haha

So, originally I thought I was gonna have a lot of fun working on this page but I did nooooot. Perspective is just so hard to work with some times lol and I wanted to try my best to establish a shot, show some full-body here and there, just… really show the space in where they are.
Anyway, I’ve been away for this week but hopefully when I get back I can go back into comic-mode and work really hard, I’m currently working on page page 32-35 with sketching and I cannot wait to see this chapter end.
Mainly because I really think chapter 3 is gonna be fun 🙂

I’ve been trying to change Annie’s hair. I felt like her hair was way too orange so if you slowly see it getting darker or just being changed in tone and what not, you know why.

I really loved working on the solo images of Annie, Belladonna and Hel. I think they look SO GOOD.
Also, we meet a new character! Yay! his name is Adam, THIS GUY I ACTUALLY PROPERLY INTRODUCED, but mainly because he’s kind of vital to Annie’s story, sorry for potential spoilers, but I think that was made obvious above, him being Evina’s partner and working on the case, Annie’s case specifically.
So, he’s a pretty chill guy I guess. I’m still coming up with a last name for him, but you can expect to see him making his way into the side character section at some point soon! (I’m honestly waiting to get a good drawing of him to use lol)
Also, vampire lady on the staircase is Amaya, I’m not gonna bother hiding her name from you guys and especially if I mention her, I don’t wanna say lady in red or mysterious staircase woman, that’s just too much to type lol.

So I hopped on the bandwagon of using spreadsheets to organize my comic and I really like!
I can’t tell if you can make out the details all that well, I did shrink it down so it wouldn’t completely take over the description :’D
I might work on chapter 4 later tonight. The spreadsheet has been great in terms of figuring out how long each chapter will last, when to take my in between chapter breaks and more.

Ugh, this was the page where everything sucked and just felt like it was taking 500 years to get done. As you can see, the quality is definitely on the lower end. But on the next page it looks better.

This page is definitely one where it will get inserted into the “EDIT FOR PRINT” folder.
Also, that guy’s name is Dermot, and YES Muirne is into him and he’s into her. Are they in a relationship? Who knows. Stick around to find out??

Anyway, good news, I’ll be starting work Friday, so I’ve been hard at work with trying to get pages done. I actually have 3 pages of a buffer for my patrons which hasn’t been a thing in SO LONG :’D tomorrow (Thursday) is my last free day, so I’m gonna try and make page #4 happen tomorrow so then I have a MONTH’S WORTH!! Because y’know, 1 page per week, 4 pages = 4 weeks = 1 month… boo yah?

I’m gonna try and work on a step by step process of one of my pages for hopefully next week…. So for $2 you could join in on the fun? 😀
BTW, regarding the discord… uh… so I’ve been really enjoying not managing or worrying about one… so… I might actually hold off on getting the link back up here. I really loved this page! It was like everything was coming together and I was just so excited!! I hope you like the ring, I tried to make it look like blood is swirling inside, but, I’m not a pro at that yet. ALSO HEY HI HELLO! The cast page has been updated!! I included their ages, height, birthdays and likes and dislikes (if they have them) and of course, I have actually added in, THEIR FULL NAMES. Did you know Annie’s name isn’t Annie? Nope, it’s not. And if that’s a spoiler I’m sorry, it shouldn’t be though, there is no really deep plot revolving around it.

I’ve also added some minor characters, and don’t worry, we’ll fill out that supporting character part soon, I’m sure of it!!

Side note, if you were part of the discord and noticed it’s gone, yeah, I don’t know what happened there,  I tried seeing if I could get it back but apparently it is “lost” so… I might make another one, maybe by next week? So, the SCORNED DISCORD button will remain on the side and hopefully by next Thursday it will be updated with a link to a new discord!

For the first half of this page I was trying a new line art, didn’t like it, the bottom half I went back to my old line art so there is most definitely a quality difference between the two as you can see, but since I was in a rush and just wanted to get this page done and SCORNED has been a huge project of try and do whatever the eff you want, I let it stay. You might see the line art switch a bit in future pages because I’m trying stuff out, also, I am trying to polish up the coloring starting next page, to make the characters actually look like they’re inside of a manor. Just make the vibes all happen, y’know?
By the way, I’ve been doing HUGE lore updates but they’re not all present because one specific lore page (the Beasts section) is messed up and I can’t find a way to fix it unless I just ERASE IT ALL and I’m too lazy.

PREPARE FOR MASSIVE DETAILS BELOW

“Just to sate curiosity because it won’t be mentioned in the comic at all, as there is really no reason to mention it, (BESIDES NOW, I realize, but I have nothing planned for this chapter/story to bring it up) the reason Hel points out that Evina is wearing blue is because she shouldn’t be wearing blue.
These kinds of parties(ones that are hosted by the supernatural FOR THE supernatural) are actually color coded so everyone knows who is who and what they are.

Vampires = shades of red
Witches = shades of burgundy
Warlocks = shades of purple
Werewolves = shades of grey (if you look at the page when they first enter the party there is actually a guy in the background wearing a grey suit)
Elves = don’t really have a color because they are believed to be extinct but it was established they would wear white because they’re believed to be the most holy of all races
Half elves = shades of blue (which is what Evina is wearing, a blue dress)
Ferrymen & Ferrywomen = black.
Giants = Hardly ever socialize with our kind of society so they’re never seen at parties and they’re also never invited lol
Half-Giants = black because chances are they’re actually part of the Ferry people crew if they’re at this sort of party.
Elf-giants = have a choice between blue and black because they’re half giant and half elves (these ones are extremely rare to be seen at parties because they tend to stay with their fellow giants at giant camps)

Evina actually has the choice between black and burgundy to wear but she’s never been one to follow rules so she said “Screw you, I’m wearing this tight blue dress”
And despite your supernatural existence, if you are part of the Ferry crew, you do have a choice between your supernatural color code or black.
Actually Hel AND Muirne have the option to wear black too as they are also part of the Ferry crew, however Belladonna had their dresses custom made (except Hel’s because as we saw, she actually didn’t approve of what Hel was wearing) but we’ll get to see what Hel’s dress was meant to be in the future.

And in case it wasn’t obvious, Hel has always worn her hair back or up at parties *for* Belladonna because it was just kind of a thing, it makes you look more professional if you’re not sulking in your hair.
This time however, as obviously stated and shown, she is not.
Which is why Evina jokes about wondering if Belladonna knows.

Also, my bf said that I revealed a spoiler about Evina, and I 100% thought everyone knew she was a witch, it is in her character page lol and then he also asked “Belladonna cares so much about Hel’s hair being down, but her hair is down and so is everyone else’s, whats up with that?” VALID TO QUESTION THAT, so Belladonna views Hel as her own daughter, normally when your daughter has to present HERSELF you want her to look decent, Muirne, Annie, Phyrra, they are not Belladonna’s concern, not like that anyway, she believes they can do whatever they want, BUT as you see, Belladonna did have dresses specifically made for Muirne AND Hel for this occasion, so she does have a little bit of control but not really a lot, Muirne obviously likes the dress because her massive milkers are in FULL VIEW, Hel actually did not end up wearing the dress Belladonna had done for her, and this is evident as we saw Belladonna disapprove of Hel’s outfit :’D  
So anyway, Belladonna is just trying to really show Hel off, she thinks Hel is a very pretty girl but she’s so introverted and has such a negative aura about her that it’s very hard for her to be approachable, and it’s even worse when Hel is covering half of her face, because then she 100% looks like she doesn’t wanna chat or anything.
As for the other girls, yeah, their hair is down but 1: it’s not covering their face and 2: as stated before, Belladonna feels responsible for Hel.
