so, just wanted to say that I’m so sorry for those who have seen ads above the comment section, I don’t recall that being there last week and it seems like disqus might be enforcing ads on users that have the free plan of disqus on their site, which sucks because to remove it costs $18 per month which is ridiculous. And it’s even more infuriating because it’s making the webcomic page ridiculously long. I am really taken aback by this.
ANYWAY, Annie and Kurtis are really getting into it, but not as much as I am about to get into wanting to shred disqus apart lmao

Happy New Year! The site is only four pages away from completing chapter four and basically completing volume one of the comic! Let me tell you, I’m very excited for us to reach the end! The comic’s volume one has been completed on patreon and I’ve been editing like crazy, I’m almost done with chapter two’s edits, I’m going to re-draw four pages and then taking a break to work on chapter five things then resuming again with kickstarter edits for chapter three!
Also… I really have to remind myself to be more active on social media and updating the mirrors again. Globalcomix, I’m coming for you! I know that updating my site alone/not paying attention to social media or mirrors is probably going to reduce the chances of my kickstarter having a successful book one campaign. But… here is to trying! I hope 2025 proves to be the year that I can really get my comic back on track!

Ooh, Annie… does not look happy, Kurtis. QUICK, GET HER A SUNFLOWER AND SOME ICECREAM AND A VEGGIE LASAGNA TO CHEER HER UP! But, uh-yeah, so, Kurtis did that. Abraham isn’t the one that turned her into a vampire.
HEY, guess what? I’m halfway through chapter 2’s edits for kickstarter and wow, I am moving faster than I thought I would. But there is the rest of chapter 2 to get through and then chapter three and then chapter four, but hey! Progress is progress! I think the sizing might still be a bit off, but I know I can fix that, my main concern is fixing the shading/lighting/font/speech bubbles.
Annnnd, I’ve already started to make new buttons for the site. Once chapter 4 comes to an end I will be starting the update, testing things out, etc.

AHHH SCORNED IS SO CLOSE TO FINISHING but I got sick and all that so I’ve been so slow working on the last two pages for Patreon! Luckily the last two pages are flatted and I’m just working on the rendering for page 69. I’ve decided that I’ll be uploading the last two pages together. And to keep things steady over here… I’ll be uploading weekly until the chapter ends!

Despite the fact that I have not uploaded a new patreon page, I wanted to upload a page for you guys! Because for patreon I’ll be uploading special lore pages I’m preparing for the physical book for whenever that kickstarter happens. But here! More information! More flashbacks! Now we know *why* Kurtis broke up with Annie.
The exposition to this is definitely going to start off slow, and that’s because I wanted to give a quick history into the relationship that Annie and Kurtis had before going into what exactly happened to Annie to end up being a vampire.

Go on, Kurtis. Tell Annie EVERY.THING. Because that girl is about to explode, and the last thing we need is another dead boy.
And hey! I made a tiny edit on the “Characters” page, where if you click on it, after about 3-5 seconds of being on the page music plays! It’s gentle guitar playing and humming! I purposely chose that because it’s actually a custom song made for Hel that I edited together to just have the guitar and humming. The actual song for her has lyrics. I really hope you guys like it! I was super proud to achieve it and it’s not going to be there permanently, I will be changing things around when the second book starts up which will most definitely be in 2025 because the site still has like 30+ pages to get through and patreon has like 20+!
