“You’re not dead. Not exactly.” Oh well… that’s reassuring???

Hey everyone! Happy Tuesday!!
This page  was originally meant to have more to it instead of just Hel’s short butt as the main panel but I didn’t want to ruin the flow I had in mind for Thursday’s page, just because I’m winging this doesn’t mean I don’t mentally draw out my pages :’D lol so yeah we have this somewhat ew-ie page but I think the next few pages look reaaaally good, so hopefully that makes up for it.

Also I announced on my patreon update today that starting August I might resort to one page per week because recently making comic pages has been hard or just taking too long, I’m putting in way more detail, I’m trying my best to make beautiful shading and atmosphere for my pages and I will be participating in an anthology as well as bringing Scarred Eden back in August so I’ll basically be posting 2 pages per week anyway lol – ALSO for those who didn’t know, I am unemployed but recently I saw a warehouse that I used to work at start accepting applications again so I applied today and I’ll get a response in a few hours supposedly, no promise, but giving a heads up because 3-4 days of my week will definitely be taken away from me if I go back to working there. So… I’ll have 3 days to spend time with my husbun, work on art and other chores that involve my life.

Anyway, next page we’ll be meeting 3 new characters! 2 minor casts and 1 supporting cast! WHOOP excitement haha 😀

Poor Annie D: she’s having a lot of feelings right now. Her story was a difficult one to write because it contains topics that I am honestly very uncomfortable writing about, but this was the story that spoke to me about her and I want to tell it. Thank you all for being able to stomach it to see the future of this story. There will be… more sensitive scenes and details in the future, so I understand if it becomes too much.
I don’t have much to say, I’m working on getting more traditional art done with some videos to go with it, hopefully by Tuesday I’ll have that ready. 🙂
Just a reminder that Scarred Eden returns with its re-drawn pages August 16th on the usual platforms, the Drunk Duck and ComicFury. I’ll be creating a brand new “Scarred Eden” on there just to keep the old pages/art up so people can see the progress if they want to because I know a lot of people like that. ALSO y’know, if you’re impatient and you wanna get the idea of the story so far, it’ll be there.

HEY! I got some exciting news, I’m currently running a Drunk Duck Anthology with Mallory aka Bluecuts34 (click here to check her out)  and I was on a drunk duck podcast discussing the topic!
I am really looking forward to going into more detail about this as time comes, we’ll definitely have more information after the first of August. 🙂

Now onto another set of news uh… Scarred Eden is returning… but uhm remember how I said I was just gonna do chapter 6 then uh- move on to fixing the script from the early chapters? I lied. I’M SORRY. I’m just gonna return in August with the remake starting up. It’ll be easier and I won’t waste any effort and time on chapter 6 since I decided, last night that I really hated the chapter and it was horrible AF. But the important thing is that it will return. I have been debating if I want to actually see if I can set up a site for it. I’m going to contact my current hosting and see how much I would need to spill out of my pocket to get another domain and extra hosting for it. Normally there’s an upgrade but it’s also normally cheaper in the long run I think? I’m also currently in the mood of… do I wanna do that? Because if I do do it then what if I just stop again? That’s my concern. WE’LL see. Right now my main plan to get working on Hel’s Ferrywomen and Scarred Eden pages for you guys. 🙂

It was difficult trying to create a stab wound on her chest and I tried REALLY hard on the lighting for the splash panel because  I wanted it to look super nice. Despite the current situation.
Next page will be a more sensitive one, so I’m giving you a heads up now.
Also I figured out when I wanna bring Scarred Eden back buuuut I’m leaving it a surprise. It’s definitely in August though. 😉
I feel like so many people have something to say about their page or week or anything special to really engage with the reader but uhh I got nothing. Maybe I’ll have something more interesting by Tuesday. ;]

Ugh, this is a sad page. Drawing Annie like that got me allAnnie is a cutie pie, I really love her so much 🙁 (I love all my OCs tho so who am I kidding???)
Also for those interested, Scarred Eden might be returning some time in August. It’s not definite but it is what I am looking at right now, ALSO I will be re-doing the first 4 chapters (prologue – chapter 3) because I messed up on some major plot points of Beatrice’s life that make future works reallyyyy messy and… I’ve been trying to ignore it for like 8 months but I just can’t haha so I gotta fix that up.
Also even though Scarred Eden doesn’t have a site it will be posted somewhere online for sure. <3

Here we meet a new character! So, even though her name isn’t revealed right now, it’ll get revealed in like 4ish pages? I have said her name on my social media so I am actually adding her character to the character page today. I honestly really love this girl and I nicknamed her Beatrice 2.0 :’D lol (if you don’t get this reference then that’s because you haven’t read my other comic called Scarred Eden where the main character is a young girl named Beatrice)
Also you may notice that the LORE page is currently gone. It’s actually “under construction” I’m going to make it its own separate page and make it a parent to other pages, such as my humans/humanoids page, a beasts page and a monsters page. Then I’ll have a world-lore page but it won’t be that exciting given that it’s honestly just an alternate universe of ours but there’s creatures and magic 😀

The boils/burning skin was super challenging to create. It kind of looks nasty but at the same time not nasty enough :’D; lol
Y’know what’s been the absolute worst about pretty much winging a project? I have no clue what’s really gonna happen after this chapter. I have a good idea of how I want it to end but I keep bouncing ideas around with chapter 2. I want to start showing off the different races/species and the ferryman alliance a little more. But I can’t really just throw a whole bunch of info all at once, there’s always a chance the reader may feel overwhelmed or not remember it in the future. Pacing is hard T-T

Now if you don’t follow me on twitter then the middle panel is one of the many wips I posted that I said I was so proud of the window I had drawn BUT it was about to be blocked by a whole lotta girls and hair, let me tell you, I am so proud of that kitchen.

The two new lovely ladies have been added to the character page, also there’s a surprise on the character page, it’s hidden but I think it will be a total treat for those super into character lore and backstory <3

I’ve done more with the site, I finally managed to center the titles to pages as well as the footer -_- (this whole time I thought it was a layout issue) and I added 3 new buttons, a ko-fi button in case you wanna make a random donation to help me in making sure Hel’s Ferrywomen becomes a top priority or just help out in general and then 2 patreon buttons to preview the current monthly bundle and the 2 early update pages for Hel’s Ferrywomen. 🙂 Speaking of Patreon, June’s monthly bundle went up today! 😀 For just $1.00 per month you can get access to behind the scenes content such as page sketches, line art, finished products, early access to speedpaints and the occasional coloring pages. 🙂 okay, end of my shameless self promo ;D
Two last things I wanna do for the site is create a content warning and a schedule pic.
And then I might fix up some of the buttons, like my store button, my official (from home) store is currently closed because of the pandemic and my printer is messy so I don’t have ANY HF merch to put out, so I’ll probably link the store to my society6.

Ahhh! Here is the first (official) page to chapter one, I absolutely LOVED creating this page. If interested, I made a speed-paint of me working on this from start to finish, that means sketch to final rendering, but it is lengthy, like 40 minutes? It was a long process though. Click here to watch the speedpaint. Also can we just adore Hel’s happy face here? I tried to make it look like she’s forcing herself to sit up higher so she can see things beyond the dashboard. ;-; she’s 5’2 and in a camper so she’s so smol.
I’ve been occasionally editing the site, I’m sure you noticed I’ve got a twitter feed now on the side, we also have a support page, the links page is separate from EXTRA but still under extra, when I’ve got more time I’m planning to do a few designs here and there to add to the site too.
